backgammon is one of those games where you can read all you want on rules and strategies, but the bottom line is you can only become a good player through experience.  Don't get me wrong, reading up on different backgammon strategies is a great way to learn and add to your game, but until you put it into practice you won't be successful.  That's why I play free online backgammons sites.
